Nelson Mandela hyllas imorgon och på torsdag i Stockholm

Från den sydafrikanska ambassaden i Stockholm har vi idag fått följande meddelande som kan vara av intresse för er Sydafrikavänner som är kvar i den kalla nord:

"MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR NELSON MANDELA
Please be advised that a memorial service to celebrate the life of the former President of South Africa, Mr Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, will be held on Wednesday 11 December at 17h30 at Storkyrkan in Gamla Stan. The Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, H.E. Ms Mandisa Dona Marasha will address the memorial service. The programme will also include tributes by representatives of the Swedish government, the African continent and members of the anti-apartheid movement as well as the South African community in Sweden. Other eminent persons will also address the gathering. Members of the public who would like to attend the memorial service should please be seated by 17h15.

In addition, an African celebration of the life of Nelson Mandela will take place on Thursday 12 December at 18:00 at the Immanuelskyrkan, Kungstensgatan 17, in cooperation with the Dean of the African Group of Ambassadors.

A book of condolence will be opened at both venues."
