Dear Swedish Community of Cape Town,
The Consulate will be hosting three election days for you to cast your vote. See the allotted times below:
- Tuesday 28th of August: 10am - 1pm
- Wednesday 29th of August: 10am - 1pm
- Thursday 30th of August: 12pm - 6pm
On the last day (Thursday the 30th) we will be having fika for voters.
Please ensure that you bring your röstkort with you on the day, along with your Swedish passport, drivers licence or Swedish ID card. If you have not received your röstkort, we will be able to print a duplicate voting card for you.
For those who are unable to attend, we have 'brevröst' materials available for collection at the Consulate.
Our office hours are 10am -1pm, Tuesday to Friday.
To avoid any delays of postal votes arriving in Sweden, the Consulate will be sending postal votes by DHL.
If you intend to go the postal vote route, please hand your completed brevröst envelope in at the Consulate in good time before the 28th of August. This will allow us enough time to ensure that they arrive in Sweden before the deadline.
For more information on the elections and what is involved please see the links below:
If you are able to attend the voting sessions at the Consulate, we look forward to meeting you in person.
Our new address is:
3rd Floor
